Saturday's Porter from Septem Microbrewery is a Greek interpretation of the English Porter style, crafted with five distinct malts: Marris Otter Pale, Munich, Crystal, Coffee and Chocolate. The result is a dark beer with brown highlights and a creamy, cohesive head. The aroma features roasted malt and chocolate with sweet undertones. On the palate, a full body carries slight sweetness alongside coffee and cocoa notes. The finish turns dry and bitter, dominated by roasted malt and espresso character. At 5.5% ABV and 30 IBUs, this unpasteurized, filtered porter strikes balance between sweetness and bitterness. Best served at 10–12°C in a tulip glass. Winner of a Bronze Medal at the International Beer Challenge 2013.
