At 12.5% ABV, this beer spent 12 months maturing in ex-bourbon barrels with maple syrup, introducing vanilla, honey and subtle orange zest. The result is a dark, velvety pour with a dense, fluffy tan head. The taste opens with restrained sweetness, red fruit notes and oak working together in a remarkably creamy, smooth mouthfeel.
