Death by IBU is an Imperial IPA from Pulfer Brewery in Zagreb, Croatia. The name serves as both warning and wink: bitterness takes centre stage, yet balance and enjoyment remain intact. The hop charge is relentless. Cryo hops, Spectrum, Flex and Incognito hop extract deliver bold citrus, pine and resin notes, complemented by fruity hints of mango and grapefruit. At 100 IBU and 8% alcohol, this is a full-bodied, assertive IPA that demands respect. Pulfer has brewed this beer repeatedly, often in collaboration with other breweries such as Maskeron. The result is a supremely hoppy yet remarkably drinkable expression of uncompromising Imperial IPA.
