Mudcake Bänger is an Imperial Stout from Põhjala Brewery in Tallinn, Estonia. Founded in 2011 by four Estonian friends in a converted Soviet naval yard, Põhjala takes well-known beer styles and adds their own twist with surprising ingredients.

This potent stout (12.5% ABV) delivers intense, dark character. The nose shows roasted malts, dark chocolate, and dark fruits. On the palate, sweet malt meets roasted bitterness and vinous depth, with charred notes and hints of wood. The finish is dry and lingering, with a sharp hop bitterness building on the back of the throat.

The mouthfeel is full and creamy, befitting an Imperial Stout of this strength. A richly dessert-like experience for those who appreciate robust, complex dark beers.
