In 2023, La Trappe partnered with French wine house Château de l'Horte to create this exceptional barrel-aged quadrupel. La Trappe's signature quadrupel spent 20 months maturing in oak casks previously used for Château de l'Horte's Reserve Speciale, infusing the beer with wine-barrel complexity. Brewed at the Trappist monastery brewery in Berkel-Enschot, this 11% amber-dark ale undergoes bottle conditioning and is unfiltered and unpasteurised.

The oak maturation adds depth and refinement to this rich, dark quadrupel—a limited collaboration bridging monastic brewing tradition with French winemaking heritage.
