Weird Weather non-alcoholic Hazy IPA
Mikkeller's Weird Weather is a low-alcohol take on the New England-style Hazy IPA, weighing in at just 0.3% ABV. This beer proves that hop bitterness and aroma need not depend on alcohol content. The brew combines barley malt, oat flakes and rye with a characteristic blend of hop and yeast varieties.
In the glass it pours a hazy golden-yellow with a full, white head. The nose leads with floral and grassy notes with hints of pine, notably lacking the tropical character typical of traditional NEIPAs. The palate is hop-forward with citric and resinous pine tones, finishing smooth with a slightly oily texture.
Despite its minimal alcohol, this beer delivers a full, assertive mouthfeel with a dry finish that underscores the hop bitterness.
