Old Gueuze Cuvee Rene
Lindemans Oude Gueuze Cuvée René is named in honour of René Lindemans, fifth-generation brewer. This classic gueuze is crafted from a careful blend of young and old lambics, aged in large oak barrels and then refermented in champagne bottles. The result is a complex, dry beer with a hazy golden colour and fine carbonation.
The palate is assertive and fruity with controlled tartness. Citrus notes of grapefruit and apple emerge alongside subtle sherry tones and a touch of barnyard funk. The finish is clean and dry, delivering a refined and balanced conclusion.
Widely regarded as the queen of gueuzes, this beer rewards patience and cellaring. A true masterpiece of traditional Belgian lambic brewing.
