Meesterstuk 2020 is a Russian Imperial Oatmeal Milkstout from Jopen Bier, the Netherlands' largest independent craft brewery. This ambitious beer spent 434 days maturing in Heaven Hill and Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, imparting rich vanilla and bourbon character throughout.

The base combines roasted malt with oats to deliver a full, creamy body. Cacao, sea salt, caramel and vanilla were carefully added to craft a complex, sweet stout. The result is a warming, multifaceted drink at 11.1% ABV that balances smoke and roast with dessert-like sweetness.

This is a beer for contemplation – not meant for quick consumption, but savoured in small measures as an evening closer.
