Jopen Trinitas Tripel
Jopen Trinitas Tripel is a three-grain tripel from Haarlem, brewed to a historical recipe dating back to 1501. Brewer Chris Wisse combined barley malt, wheat malt and oats to create a full-bodied beer at 9% ABV. The name references both the Holy Trinity and the three grains in the recipe.
Full and herbal aromas carry notes of vanilla and laurel. The palate is soft yet dry, finishing with a characteristic hoppy bitterness. This beer earned a silver medal at the World Beer Awards 2014 in the Belgian Style Tripel category.
