Jopen Gin Trinitas Tripel is a robust 9% tripel from Haarlem, brewed to a historical Hoppenbier recipe dating to 1501. The beer combines barley, wheat and oat malts, and during maturation receives oak chips that have been steeped in aromatic gin. This infusion delivers its distinctive vanilla and spice character.

The palate is full and dry, with pronounced vanilla from the oak and spicy gin notes including juniper. Fruity esters of banana and citrus emerge alongside a light bitter finish. The interplay of traditional grain bill and gin-soaked oak creates a distinctive take on the Belgian Tripel style. Silver medal winner at the World Beer Awards 2014.
