L'ensemble from De Dochter van de Korenaar is a full-malt barleywine brewed just once a year. The beer ferments with both beer and wine yeast, then matures for a year in Brunello casks, where it absorbs red wine character and tannin structure. At 13% ABV, this is a warming and layered expression of the style.

On the palate, L'ensemble shows dark fruit, caramel, and raisin notes alongside the vinous and oaky character drawn from barrel aging. The finish is substantial and lingering, with the alcohol warmth balanced by the beer's malt backbone and wine-influenced complexity.
