Dochter van de Korenaar Embrasse Peated Oak Aged
The Embrasse Peated Oak Aged from De Dochter van de Korenaar is a robust quadrupel that matures for six to eight months in peated whiskey barrels. Brewed with craftsmanship by Ronald Mengerink in Baarle-Hertog, this full-malt beer develops a layered character through barrel aging—the peated oak imparts smoky, earthy depth that complements the malt foundation.
The aroma opens with peat smoke, leather and roasted grain, with undertones of milk chocolate. On the palate, peat and campfire smoke lead into roasted malt and dark complexity. A full-bodied, warming beer with lingering character, best paired with blue cheeses and contemplative sipping.
