Piraat is a strong blonde ale from Brouwerij Van Steenberge in Ertvelde, Flanders. Created in 1988 following the success of Gulden Draak, brewer Jozef Van Steenberge employed the same distinctive wine yeasts that define the brewery's character. At 10.5% ABV, this is a full-bodied beer with intense aromatics and a refined sweet-bitter balance.

Light amber in colour with a white head, Piraat presents fruity and spicy notes in the aroma, shaped by top fermentation and bottle conditioning. The palate delivers a harmonious interplay of malty sweetness and hop bitterness, with pronounced esters reflecting the elevated alcohol content. The finish is clean and lingering.
