Gulden Draak Brewmaster 2017 is a limited-edition barrel-aged tribute from Brouwerij Van Steenberge to founder Jozef Van Steenberge and the brewery's 230th anniversary. Matured in whiskey barrels, this strong Belgian ale gains vanilla, woody character and a whiskey-forward warmth that complements its traditional brewing heritage.

The aroma shows bready malt, candi sugar and gentle spice. On the palate, dark dried fruits—plum, raisin and fig—meld with caramel, toffee and molasses, rounded by vanilla and wood notes. The mouthfeel is surprisingly soft for its strength, with a drying finish that lingers cleanly.
