Brouwerij Kerkom from Sint-Truiden crafts Hop Verdomme as a deliberate response to the global trend of extreme hop bitterness. Rather than relying on American hops, Kerkom selected seven Flemish hop varieties from the Westhoek region—a choice that defines the beer's distinctive character. The nose reveals fresh citrus aromas with melon and peach notes, layered with spicy and grassy undertones. On the palate, cracker and bready malt provide a solid foundation, balanced thoughtfully with assertive hop bitterness.
