Brouwerij Emelisse from Goes ventures into ambitious territory with this White Label Imperial Coffee Stout, aged in Rémy Martin cognac barrels. The Espresso Stout combines a dark, roasted stout backbone with the influence of brandy-soaked oak, creating a beer of considerable depth and character.

The nose presents espresso, mocha and chocolate, layered with vanilla and barrel-derived warmth. On the palate, coffee and dark chocolate lead, followed by subtle oak tannins and bourbon-barrel funk that frame the full 10.5% alcohol. The finish is dry and lingering, with persistent roasted bitterness and smoky complexity.
