Vicaris Winter from Brouwerij Dilewyns in Dendermonde is a dark brown winter beer at 10% ABV with a layered, warming character. This is the only beer in the Vicaris range brewed with spices, notably licorice, which adds a distinctive warmth to the foundation of three malts and two hops. The aroma reveals roasted malt, toffee and molasses, with undertones of coffee and nutty complexity. On the palate, toasted bread and caramel emerge, followed by dark fruit notes—raisin and plum—that linger gently. The finish remains pleasantly sweet without cloying.
