Cake & Comfort from Brouwerij De Molen is a barrel-aged brandy pastry stout at 11.9% ABV, matured in Woodford Reserve casks. This ambitious beer marries the full, chocolate-forward character of a strong stout with subtle influences from American whiskey barrels and notes of brandy, cake and caramel.

Fermentation brings dark fruits and roasted malt to the fore, while wood maturation adds vanilla-like warmth and oak notes. The result is a complex, nourishing beer with a lingering finish.
