Straffe Hendrik Heritage is a special annual release of Brouwerij De Halve Maan's renowned Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel from Bruges. This strong dark beer matures for a minimum of one year in oak barrels within the brewery's medieval cellars, developing a unique character through time. The barrel aging imparts deep, rich flavours of vanilla, caramel and toasted oak that harmonize with natural notes of dark fruit and warm spices. The beer achieves a complex balance between the rich malts, barrel tannins and red wine-like nuances that emerge from its maturation. Produced in limited quantities once yearly, this is a beer reserved for special occasions and capable of ageing well for up to ten years.
