Herkenrode Vesper is a tripel from Brouwerij Cornelissen, brewed using traditional abbey beer methods and bottle-conditioned for secondary fermentation. The beer is distinguished by its full flavour and deep golden colour. The brewery uses only malted barley, water, yeast and herbs grown at Herkenrode Abbey itself, with Saaz hops providing a crisp, dry character. On the palate, expect ripe fruit, toffee and warming alcohol notes. This is a creamy, full-bodied tripel without the sharp edge found in many others of its style.
