Cuvée de Mortagne Banyuls is the barrel-aged expression of Alvinne's Land van Mortagne, a full-bodied, sweet Belgian quadrupel. Aged in red wine barrels from Banyuls, a French dessert wine, this amber beer gains an additional layer of dark fruit complexity and vinous depth. The nose reveals caramel, plum and grapefruit alongside vanilla and wine-like character. On the palate, sweetness and subtle tartness interplay with dark fruit, wood spice and a faint tannic grip. The full body and warming 12.8% ABV create a contemplative drinking experience, best suited to slow sipping.
