Brouwerij Broeder Jacob in Tongeren created Double Espresso as a pioneering beer: Belgium's first to be brewed with real coffee. The brewery, founded in 2010 by beer enthusiast Johan Claes, used Guatemalan coffee beans for this distinctive brew.

Double Espresso is a dark brown ale at 7.7% ABV where coffee takes centre stage. The aroma shows brown sugar and red fruit, while the palate is sweet and spiced with coffee as the dominant flavour. The finish is gently bitter, providing good balance throughout.
