Ename is the abbey beer label of Brouwerij Roman, Belgium's oldest family brewery, based in Oudenaarde since 1545. The name honours the Benedictine abbey founded in 1063, where brewing first took root. Roman has brewed under the Ename label since 1990. The Ename range spans several styles, each inspired by Trappist brewing traditions. These unfiltered abbey beers are bottle-refermented, developing complexity and character. The line is defined by bright, fruity aromatics with herbs and hop presence, where citrus and stone fruit notes lead the way.
