Westbrook Brewing Co. celebrated their seventh anniversary with this full-bodied Imperial Stout, built around chocolate and finished with a touch of sea salt. The base beer spent twelve months in Blis maple syrup barrels, which layer sweet maple and oak depth beneath cocoa and dark fruit character. The nose reveals light roast, milk chocolate and dark stone fruit. On the palate, moderate sweetness carries cocoa, dates and prunes, with a subtle saline edge cutting through the smooth, luscious body. The finish lingers warm and satisfying.
