Brouwerij Holevoort in Bakel crafts this Tripel using water, barley and hops grown on their own land. Special Number 25 marks the twenty-fifth beer in their barrel aged series, aged for 481 days in a Cognac Borderies Terroir VSOP vanilla cask. This extended maturation adds considerable depth and refinement to the beer. The combination of the robust Tripel base with Cognac cask aging produces a full-strength beer (10.8% ABV) with refined character. Vanilla notes from the cask emerge subtly alongside the natural esters from Tripel fermentation.
