Zinnebir is the flagship of Brasserie de la Senne, a Brussels brewery producing unfiltered beer without additives since 2010. Yvan De Baets created this golden blonde ale as a hoppier take on a Belgian Speciale – something between an English Pale Ale and traditional Belgian brewing. The beer balances hop bitterness with malt character. De la Senne's house yeast brings fruity notes of dried apricot and orange marmalade, complemented by herbal and grassy hop qualities. The finish is dry and bitter, with a pleasant malty aftertaste. Zinnebir continues to ferment in bottle and barrel, making it a living, evolving beer.
