Paljas Bruin is a traditional Belgian brown ale from Brouwerij De Leite in Ruddervoorde. This unfiltered, top-fermented beer undergoes bottle refermentation and is brewed with four dark barley malt varieties and four hop varieties: Magnum, Styrian, Kent and Saaz. In the glass it presents as a dark brown beer with a light beige head. The aroma is rich and malty, with notes of dried fruit, caramel and chocolate. On the palate, the beer offers a medium body with soft carbonation and hints of coffee. The flavour is balanced and dry, with sweet notes of dried fruit and bread, interspersed with soft caramel tones. A subtle smoky note and fruity fermentation character round out this traditional brown ale.
