Oude Geuze Apogee is a one-off release from Brouwerij Boon marking Frank Boon's handover to his sons Jos and Karel. This gueuze blends a two-year-old lambic from a brand-new oak foeder with a three-year-old from a seasoned barrel, creating a nuanced and balanced composition. The nose reveals crisp green apple, lemon zest and oak with subtle funky undertones. On the palate, light tartness unfolds with green apple, citrus notes and prominent oak and leather character. The finish is dry and clean, with lingering funk. Medium-bodied and lively with bright carbonation, this gueuze moves gracefully across the palate—a fitting tribute to Frank Boon's legacy and the brewery's continued tradition.
