Kriek Mariage Parfait from Brouwerij Boon is a classic old kriek from Lembeek, brewed since 1978. The beer is made from lambic aged 18 months to which 400 grams of fresh wild cherries per litre are added. Eight months of maturation in oak barrels brings the blend to full expression.

The nose reveals an intense, wine-like character with rich cherry notes. On the palate, tart cherry dominates, complemented by subtle vanilla and oak without drying out. A gentle barnyard undertone adds complexity.

This is a beer with serious ageing potential—minimum 20 years of keeping, yet approachable after about two years in bottle. The 8% alcohol provides warmth and structure without dominance.
