Baros Barrel Serie 2 is the Scotch whisky-cask expression of Zinnestreel, Brouwerij Baros's robust quadrupel from Sprang-Capelle. After nine months of maturation in a Scotch Beer barrel, the character of both beers merges into a single complex whole. The result is a full-bodied, warming beer with dark fruit, licorice sweetness and liquorice root, balanced by a light bitterness. The nose reveals layers of caramel and woody notes from barrel aging. On the palate, dark sugar tones dominate alongside a warming alcohol presence, supported by the natural complexity of a Quadrupel. The finish remains clean and dry, with a pleasant lingering character.
