Brussels Beer Project
Belgium · Founded in 2013
Brussels Beer Project was born in Brussels, Belgium, in 2013, when its founding beer — Delta IPA — was chosen from four initial prototypes. The project quickly grew into a community-driven brewery, bringing together more than 6,000 'beer lovers' as part of its crowd-sourced origins. Described by observers as a very American-inspired brewery operating in the heart of Belgium, it set out to bring a fresh, modern perspective to Belgian brewing culture from its base in central Brussels. The brewery is known for its playful and experimental approach to beer, with an ambition to brew no fewer than 20 one-off beers each year using a 10-hectolitre brew installation. Rather than leaning solely on Belgian tradition, Brussels Beer Project challenges conventions by reimagining styles — including giving a modern twist to traditional abbey beers. Its portfolio spans hop-forward styles such as IPAs, alongside a wide range of limited and seasonal releases that keep the lineup constantly evolving. Brussels Beer Project has expanded beyond Belgium, opening a bar in the Pigalle neighbourhood of Paris — marking its first French location. The brewery has also partnered with local names such as Maison Dandoy and Delhaize, and has gained international attention in the craft beer community, including coverage by Good Beer Hunting.
