Adelardus Tripel
Adelardus Tripel from Brouwerij Kerkom was brewed to commemorate the opening of the abbey tower in Sint-Truiden on 1 May 2005. This tripel stands apart with a darker, orange-hued colour and a fuller flavour profile than the standard Kerckomse Tripel.
The beer's distinctive character comes from gruut, a blend of a dozen native herbs that impart a unique spicy quality. The base combines five malt types and two Belgian hop varieties, enriched with dark candi sugar. At 9% alcohol, this beer delivers a full taste experience with fruity notes of banana, plum and apple, honey and floral hints, building to a spicy finish that develops with each sip.
