Liberty Lager from TALEA Beer Co., a women-owned Brooklyn brewery, is a modern interpretation of George Washington's famous 1757 beer recipe. Developed in partnership with the New York Public Library to mark America's 250th anniversary, this amber lager honours its historical roots while adapting the original formula for contemporary palates. TALEA reduced the heavy molasses from Washington's small beer for a crisper, more refined finish.

At 5.5% ABV, Liberty Lager strikes a balance between light, crisp bitterness and subtle malty sweetness. Hopped with U.S. Liberty hops for citrus and herbal character, the beer is fermented with lager yeast and cold-conditioned for six weeks, delivering a clean, approachable craft lager that pairs well with food.
