A collaboration between two craft breweries

Atone Brewing and vandeStreek Bier present Chest Candy, a New Zealand New England Double IPA that reflects their shared passion for modern hop aromatics and uncompromising flavor. The breweries, based in Hengelo and Utrecht respectively, bring their individual expertise together to create a beer that embodies both brands. The name references a music track designed to push speakers to their limits – a fitting reference given both independent breweries' strong musical roots.

Profile and character

Chest Candy is bottled at 7.6% ABV and features a soft, creamy body that contrasts with pronounced tropical and citrus hop notes. New Zealand hops take center stage in the recipe, delivering a juicy, fruity character. Despite its robust alcohol content, the beer remains surprisingly approachable and dangerously drinkable – exactly as the brewers intended.

Tasting experience

The nose reveals tropical hop and citrus zest with tropical fruit notes. On the palate, these characteristics continue, supported by the same tropical and citrus profiles. The finish is marked by assertive hop bitterness with a lingering aftertaste.

Availability

Chest Candy is available from July 3, 2026 in 33cl cans and 20-liter kegs. The beer is distributed nationally through both breweries and is accessible to both on-premise and retail channels.
