Krušovice is one of the oldest breweries in Europe, with roots stretching back to 1581 when the first written records of the brewery were established in the Bohemian town of Krušovice, Czech Republic. In 1583, Emperor Rudolf II purchased the brewery for the Bohemian Crown, giving it its royal status and the title of Royal Brewery that it proudly carries to this day. This centuries-old heritage makes Krušovice one of the most historically significant breweries in the Czech brewing tradition. In 2007, the brewery was acquired by Heineken, becoming part of one of the world's largest brewing groups. Krušovice specialises in Czech lager-style beers, brewed according to the traditions that have defined Bohemian brewing for centuries. The brewery's portfolio includes Krušovice Originál, Krušovice Imperial, and Krušovice Černé — a dark lager that showcases the brewery's range beyond the classic pale pilsner style. These beers are characterised by their use of Czech hops and malt, resulting in clean, well-balanced lagers with a crisp finish that reflects the country's deep-rooted brewing culture. Krušovice Imperial and Krušovice Černé have been officially launched in the UK market, distributed through Heineken's network. The brand's royal heritage and over 400 years of continuous brewing history give it a distinctive identity in the competitive international lager market, where it stands as a proud ambassador of Czech brewing craftsmanship.
