Browar Fortuna is a historic Polish brewery with roots stretching back to 1889, located in the small town of Miłosław in the Greater Poland region. Its story took a dramatic turn when the brewery was seized in 1939, only to be returned to its original family in 1995. Within two years of that restitution, brewing operations resumed, reviving a tradition that spans well over a century. Today, Browar Fortuna offers a wide and diverse portfolio that bridges tradition and innovation. The range includes non-alcoholic beers, clean and approachable lagers, hop-forward IPAs, and the brewery's most celebrated category: Baltic Porter. The Komes series is a flagship line that showcases the brewery's ambition, featuring bold styles such as barley wine brewed with American hop varieties, as well as the Komes Potrojny Zloty, a strong golden ale reaching 9.0% ABV. This willingness to experiment with both classic and contemporary styles sets Fortuna apart among Polish breweries. Browar Fortuna is recognised as a patron of Baltic Porter Day, an acknowledgment of its dedication to this rich, dark and complex lager style rooted in Central and Northern European brewing heritage. The Miłosław sub-brand has gained attention among craft beer enthusiasts both in Poland and internationally, earning praise for combining historical brewing identity with a modern, craft-oriented approach.
