Brouwersgilde Sleat is a Dutch craft brewing foundation established in 2013 in the historic Frisian town of Sloten (Sleat in Frisian), a small and characterful city in Friesland, the Netherlands. Founded as a guild-style brewing collective, the organisation spent years developing recipes and refining their craft in their own brewing kettles, building up a passionate commitment to authentic, small-batch beer production rooted in local Frisian identity. The brewery operates as a home brewery, specialising in strong Belgian-inspired styles with a distinct Frisian character. Their portfolio centres around the Tripel style, which is a hallmark of their brewing philosophy. Brouwersgilde Sleat brews both under the Frisian name De 8 Fan Sleat and the Dutch variant De 8 Van Sleat, both of which are blonde Tripels with an alcohol content of 8.8%. These beers reflect the guild's dedication to traditional, flavour-forward brewing with regional pride at their core. De 8 Fan Sleat is the signature beer and the brew for which Brouwersgilde Sleat is best known. Brewed in the intimate setting of the Frisian lakeside town of Sloten, this Tripel has earned recognition among Dutch craft beer enthusiasts as a fine example of a locally inspired, independently produced speciality beer.
