Brew by Numbers (BBNo) is a London-based craft brewery founded in 2011 by Tom Hutchings and Dave Seymour, two friends who first met while rock climbing. Starting on a very small scale, the brewery quickly grew into one of the UK's notable craft beer producers, operating from a taproom in London alongside an e-commerce sales channel. In recent years, BBNo became part of the Keystone Brewing Group portfolio, which also includes Black Sheep, Purity, Brick, Big Drop and Wolf Pack. The brewery built its reputation on a wide-ranging and adventurous portfolio of beer styles, from Belgian Pale Ales hopped with varieties such as Crystal and Tettnang, to Session beers and imperial stouts. The distinctive numerical naming system — each beer carrying a style code and batch number — reflects the brewery's methodical and experimental approach to brewing. This system allows drinkers to navigate the portfolio with clarity while encouraging exploration across styles. BBNo earned a loyal following among craft beer enthusiasts both in London and internationally, with fans praising its versatility and consistency. The London taproom became a go-to destination for beer lovers, and the brewery's imperial stouts gained additional recognition through collaborations with the spirits world. Despite passing through administration, the brand continues under the Keystone umbrella.
