Backhuys is an English Porter brewed by d'Ooijevaer, a Limburg brewery founded in 2015 in Gennep. This dark, approachable beer delivers 7.4% ABV with a soft character that balances roasted depth and subtle sweetness. The aroma presents chocolate, coffee and caramel notes with gentle sweetness. On the palate, dark malt and roasted barley lead, supported by cocoa undertones and restrained bitterness. The finish is clean and warming, with lingering roasted character. A well-crafted autumn porter that rewards a slow pour.
