Waldhaus Schwarzwald Weisse Dunkel is a dark wheat beer from the Schwarzwald region of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its chestnut-brown hue and full-bodied character come from gently roasted and caramelized specialty malts. The beer reveals classic Weizen hallmarks: banana and clove in the aroma, with notes of roasted malt and filter coffee emerging as it opens. On the palate, caramel, earth and spice combine with fruity esters and subtle yeast character. The finish is dry and mildly bitter. At 5.6% ABV and just 13 IBU, this is an approachable beer well suited to rich dishes and spiced cuisine.
