Voortsche Dubbel is a dark brown regional beer from Voorthuizen with deep historical roots. Brewing in the village traces back to the 1453 inn De Moriaen, where travellers across the Veluwe were served beer for centuries. After a long pause, Voortsche Bieren resumed the craft tradition with reverence for its heritage. This soft, lightly sweet dubbel is built on caramelised and roasted malts that create a rounded, complex flavour. Belgian yeast contributes fruity esters—dried fruit character and a subtle hint of banana. A refined bitterness provides balance without asserting itself. A pleasantly aromatic beer that pairs well with red meat and hearty dishes.
