À propos

Kerel Kaishaku is a Belgian Pale Strong Ale brewed by VBDCK Brewery, an independent producer in Tielrode with roots reaching back to the 19th century. Named after kaishaku, a Japanese ritual tradition, the brewers make their point clear: this beer hides its 15% alcohol content deceptively well beneath a refined golden surface. The nose is intense, revealing malt, florals and stone fruit—peach and apricot—alongside yeast and herbal notes. On the palate, honey and caramel emerge, supported by a full body and warming alcohol. The finish is long and dry, with a gentle bitterness that holds everything in proportion. This is a strong ale that maintains elegance despite its power—a beer that commands respect and rewards it.
