Trots Tripel is the flagship creation of Brouwerij Heft, released in early 2019 as the newest addition to Rotterdam-based Trots. This beer embodies Dutch character while drawing from the classic Belgian Tripel tradition with its own distinctive approach. Brewed with only Pilsner malt and Belgian candy sugar as its foundation, it is rounded out with a blend of three European hop varieties. Warm fermentation using a specific Belgian yeast strain imparts a characteristic spicy character. The result is a clear blonde beer crowned with a substantial head. On the palate, Trots Tripel opens with malty, lightly spiced notes followed by a distinctly alcoholic warmth. Despite its 8% ABV strength, it remains approachable and easy-drinking.
