Zeezuiper is a golden blonde tripel from Scheldebrouwerij, a Belgian brewery that grew from a backyard operation in the early 1990s to a widely distributed craft producer. This full-strength beer at 8% ABV opens fresh and dry, gradually revealing sweeter undertones as it warms. The palate delivers a rich, malty foundation balanced by restrained hop bitterness. Coriander and citrus fruits add spice and brightness, while yellow fruit and floral notes emerge in the aroma. The finish is lightly bitter and dry, with a lingering aftertaste. Zeezuiper pairs well with spicy cuisine, grilled meats and barbecue. The beer took top honours at the Brussels Beer Challenge in 2023.
