The Openluchtmuseum Dubbel is brewed in the historic De Roskam brewery, housed within the Netherlands Open Air Museum in Arnhem since 1943. This brewery dates to 1750 and preserves the story of Brabant's brewing heritage. This dubbel represents a traditional interpretation of beer brewed in the region around 1900. At 7% alcohol, it delivers a full-bodied character with a dark brown colour. The beer reflects the craft techniques that small Brabant breweries maintained across generations, often run by brewers who combined their trade with farming or innkeeping. The museum brewery also produces seasonal variations based on the same foundation recipe, demonstrating the adaptability of traditional brewing methods.
