Staropramen Granát is an amber lager from Prague, brewed to the original 1884 recipe. The brewery relaunched this beer in 1999 to mark its 130th anniversary. It is crafted from a distinctive blend of pale and specialty malts, including roasted barley and caramel malt, combined with hop extract. This is a smooth and easy-drinking lager with medium body and lighter texture. The palate brings together malty character with a restrained hop bitterness, while the finish is clean and does not linger. Granát pairs well with fish, cheese or a full meal, but is equally enjoyable on its own.
