Adnams' Flat White Porter marries English porter heritage with specialty coffee in an inventive limited edition. This 5% porter is infused with Colombian coffee beans from Taylors of Harrogate, added post-fermentation. The result balances subtle coffee notes with sweet malt and roasted grain character without aggressive bitterness. The nose reveals sweet malt, brown sugar and mellow roast coffee. On the palate, light coffee and roast dominate, with little hop presence or sharp edges. The body is notably light and thin for a porter, allowing the coffee-malt interplay to take centre stage. Brewed in Southwold under the Jack Brand range, this is a beer for those who appreciate both craft beer and quality coffee in a single glass.
