Kompaan Calypso Ace from The Hague is a tripel aged for nearly a year in apricot brandy barrels. This is an intense, boozy beer built on a rich malt foundation with pronounced stone fruit character throughout. The barrel maturation contributes warmth and sweetness, layered with the natural esters that come from tripel fermentation.

The nose opens with apricot, honey and malt. On the palate, alcohol presence is clear and warming, supported by caramel malt, fruit and brandy-like spice. The finish is dry and lingering, with fading apricot notes and a gentle warmth.
