Berne Prior Dubbel is a dark amber abbey beer brewed using top fermentation by the Norbertine monks of Berne Abbey in Heeswijk-Dinther, the oldest still-active monastery in the Netherlands. The beer showcases a soft caramel character from roasted malt, layered with warm spice notes that add depth and complexity. On the palate, it presents as sweet and creamy with a spicy opening and subtle fruity undertones. Caramel returns in the finish, with a notably sweet aftertaste. At 8% ABV, it delivers a full-bodied, warming experience. Pairs well with dark chocolate and confections.
