Benediktiner Weissbier Dunkel is a dark wheat beer from Klosterbrauerei Ettal, brewed after an ancient monastery recipe using dark brewing malt. This unfiltered Dunkelweizen marries wheat beer yeast character with warm, malty depth. Poured into a glass, it reveals a cloudy, dark orange hue beneath a substantial head. The nose carries fruity notes of banana and clove, with hints of caramel and grain sweetness. On the palate, those same fruity esters emerge alongside subtle burnt bread and nuttiness, finishing clean and approachable.
